Ordnance Research SSP-91, aka the Lone Eagle
This video delves into the Ordnance Research SSP-91, also known as the Lone Eagle. Designed by John Foote, this single-shot rifle-caliber pistol was initially created for silhouette competition and handgun hunting. Introduced as the SSP-86 in 1986 and later improved to the SSP-91 in 1991, the design was eventually acquired by Magnum Research and rebranded as the Lone Eagle. The pistol was available in a wide array of calibers, with expensive caliber conversion kits. The description also touches upon an imported copy called the "Competitor" pistol. Production ceased around 2000 due to poor sales.
