Welrod Mk II
This video from Brownells Gun Techs features Steve and Keith going undercover at Rock Island Auction Company to showcase a rare Welrod Mk II pistol. Developed by the British SOE during WWII for covert operations, the Welrod is an integrally silenced, bolt-action pistol chambered in .32 ACP. The description highlights its crude appearance, the effectiveness of its suppressor (reducing sound to approximately 72 dB), and its manual bolt operation to avoid noise. It's noted that a few thousand were produced, with BSA admitting to manufacturing some, though government markings are absent. The pistol remained in service as late as the Falklands War in 1982.
