The Ching Sling - A Simpler Shooting Sling Compromise
This video introduces the Ching Sling, a unique firearm sling designed by Eric Ching to bridge the gap between a traditional shooting sling and a quick-to-deploy carry strap. Unlike conventional two-point slings, the Ching Sling utilizes three attachment points to create a stable shooting loop around the tricep, offering enhanced support for marksmanship. It can also be quickly reconfigured for use as a standard carry strap, either muzzle up or muzzle down, addressing the impracticality of traditional slings in combat. The video highlights its historical context, including its association with Jeff Cooper's scout rifle concept and its inclusion with the Steyr Scout Rifle.
