This video delves into Rhodesia's first domestically produced firearms, the Northwood Developments R76 pistol and M77 carbine, from the mid to late 1970s. Designed by Roger Mansfield, these weapons were intended as a modular system with interchangeable barrels and stocks. Both models were semi-automatic only, chambered in 9x19mm, and utilized Browning High Power magazines. Approximately 2,000 units were produced before the end of the Rhodesian wars. The video provides a historical overview and showcases these unique firearms.
