Chopper History with Dragonman
This video offers a nostalgic look back at the "good old days" of motorcycle organizing by "Dragonman" in upstate New York during the 1970s. He recounts how these upstate runs, which he organized, were featured in prominent motorcycle magazines like Hot Bike, Street Chopper, Easy Rider, and Colors. Participants contributed financially, pooling around $7,000 for events at the then-closed Holiday ski resort. Activities included renting the resort, taking over the lake with rowboats, nightly food pickups via a pickup truck, and a U-Haul for bike transport. The runs also featured contests with trophies and parades through town, which were well-received by locals. These events continued for nearly a decade before Dragonman relocated to Colorado, providing a glimpse into his personal history.
