.22-06 Duplex M1 Garand
This video explores the .22-06 Duplex cartridge and its experimental use in the M1 Garand during the 1950s US Army rifle programs (SALVO, SALVO II, SPIW). The duplex round featured two 50-grain, .22 caliber bullets stacked in a necked-down .30-06 case, designed to increase hit probability with a single sight picture, trigger press, and recoil impulse. The cartridge was fired at just under 3000 fps.
